Grow by Season keeps your garden on your device. There are no accounts, analytics, ads or cookies.
What stays in your browser
The site saves three things in your browser's local storage, on the device you use: the last ZIP code you looked up, the crops you picked for your calendar, and the beds you drew in the planner. They never leave the device. Clearing your browser data deletes them.
How your ZIP code is looked up
When you type a ZIP code, the page downloads one small file with the data for every ZIP code that starts with the same three digits, and finds yours inside your browser. Our server only sees which of those files was requested.
Calendar files and printouts
The .ics calendar file and the printed year are made in your browser. Nothing is sent anywhere when you save or print them.
What we do not do
There are no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, no tracking and no cookies. The web server that delivers the pages sees the usual details of each request, such as your IP address, in order to send the page.
