Information, not a promise
The planting calendar, frost dates and planner are for general information. Frost dates are 30-year averages from NOAA weather stations, and any single year can be earlier or later. Watch your local forecast and use your own judgment; you decide what to plant and when.
No warranty
The site is provided as it is, without warranties of any kind. To the extent the law allows, Grow by Season is not liable for losses that come from using it, such as plants lost to an early or late frost.
Your data
There is no account. Your ZIP code, crops and beds stay in your browser, as the privacy page explains.
Our content
The text, drawings and photos were made for this site. You are welcome to link to any page and to print your own calendar or plan; please do not copy pages or images to publish elsewhere. The weather, zone and ZIP code data come from public U.S. government and university sources, credited on the sources page.
